- Period 1961 - 1969: Institute of Architectural Design. During this period, the Civil Design Department developed into the Architectural Design Institute and had to perform two tasks: both designing Construction Works to serve combat production, and implementing Scientific research and training Officers to prepare for the day of victory and build for the future. The number of Architects and Engineers trained at domestic and foreign schools being assigned to the agency is increasing and becoming more synchronous.
- Period 1969 - 1975: Institute of Civil Design. In parallel with the Design of Projects, the Institute has applied many technical advances such as: reinforcing soft ground with sand piles with vibrator BBPC - 11/20 at the Institute of Oriental Medicine, designing two-dimensional thin shell, 15.3x15.3m square plan with 15m aperture constructed by soaking cement in water; Research on ventilation, architectural physics, construction projects in areas affected by Lao wind, on the height of residential floors, wind direction, sun direction for folk houses and mass construction, closed kitchens in families and hotels; Ventilation, smoke release, lighting design, installation of electrical equipment, lightning protection, water supply and drainage systems in houses, canteens, hotels and especially hospitals have been implemented and obtained many encouraging results, widely applied immediately in practice throughout the industry.
- Period 1975 - 1978: Institute of Urban and Rural Construction. After 1975, the Institute's functions were concretized in the following three main tasks: 1. Scientific research and application of scientific and technical advances in the design and construction of housing and public works. Research and compile design standards, Normative Procedures and guidance documents in Design Work. 2.Design all types of housing and civil works (Hospitals, Schools, Hotels, Headquarters, Sports and Culture, Memorials, Museums, City Bridges and Roads). 3. Help the Ministry in directing the Industry and supporting localities in the field of Housing and Public Works Design. In addition to the above tasks, the Institute also sends staff to teach at Universities of Architecture and Construction, and provide graduation and internship guidance for students.
- Period 1978-1993: Institute of Housing and Public Works Design: Housing design is the Institute's top task
- Period 1993 - June 2006: Vietnam Civil Construction Consulting Company. The 6th Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam opened a period of innovation for the country, the Institute shifted towards economic planning in design production and Science-Technology research activities. The rearrangement of organization and human resources according to Decree 388/HDBT creates a new operating environment: General Contractor Designs and constructs many high-quality projects that meet construction reality and are suitable for developing Construction Technology. In 1993, the Ministry of Construction decided to change the name of the Institute of Housing and Public Works Design to "Vietnam Civil Construction Consulting Company", the international transaction name is Vietnam National Construction Consultants (VNCC). This was the first important turning point and the name VNCC has since become familiar in the Construction Industry and the market.
- From July 2006 to present: Vietnam Construction Consulting Corporation. An important turning point marking the period of development and integration is the establishment of Vietnam Construction Consulting Corporation. VNCC becomes the parent company and has eight member companies that are design consulting companies of the Ministry of Construction. An innovation in management methods and organizational structure; Training and appointing young officials who are capable, responsible, dynamic, sensitive... into management positions of units has enhanced the reputation and brand of the Corporation in the Vietnamese and regional Construction Consulting market.
- In 2010, Vietnam Construction Consulting Corporation operated under the model of a single-member limited liability company;
- On March 5, 2012, the Prime Minister issued an Official Dispatch approving the plan to arrange 100% state-owned enterprises under the Ministry of Construction to convert the LLC's organizational model to a Joint Stock Company's operating model;
- On August 14, 2016, the Corporation successfully organized the initial public share auction at the Hanoi Stock Exchange.
