Formation history:
- Vinh Long Food Company was formed by the merger of Vinh Long Provincial Food Company and Vinh Long Town Food Company according to Decision No. 190/UBT dated April 13, 1993 of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee.
- By the end of 1995, implementing Decision No. 40/CP of the Prime Minister, the Company was handed over to the Southern Food Corporation for operation. The company is a member of the Vietnam Food Association and a member of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
- The company has a representative branch located in Ho Chi Minh City at 31 Nguyen Kim - District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
- On August 1, 2006, the Company received Decision No. 2204/QD-BNN-DMDN of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on converting Vinh Long Food Company into Vinh Long Food Joint Stock Company with registered business capital of VND52,000,000,000.
- On September 22, 2009, with the approval of the General Meeting of Shareholders and the State Securities Commission, the Company paid dividends in shares and issued bonus shares to existing shareholders. Accordingly, each shareholder registered on October 7, 2009 will be paid a dividend in shares at the rate of 80% along with a corresponding amount of bonus shares at the rate of 20%. The capital source for issuing bonus shares is taken mainly from the Company's undistributed profits. Thus, the company's owner's investment capital increased to 104,000,000,000 VND, and the number of shares increased to 10.4 million shares.
