Timeline of Establishment & Development Vinacomin Automobile Industry Joint Stock Company is a unit of a member of Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group. The Company's predecessor was the merger of Cam Pha Mechanical Company and Cam Pha Dynamic Mechanical Company. Cam Pha Mechanical Company was established on August 1, 1960, according to the decision of the Ministry of Heavy Industry to convert Cam Pha Mechanical Factory into an independent unit. Cam Pha Dynamics Company, formerly Cam Pha Automobile Overhaul Factory, was established in 1986, and in 1995, it was renamed Cam Pha Dynamics Mechanical Factory according to Decision No. /QD-TCCB dated December 1, 1995 of the Minister of Industry. According to Decision No. 26/2001/QD-BCN on transferring Cam Pha Dynamics Mechanical Company to become a member unit of Vietnam Coal Corporation, Cam Pha Mechanical Company and Cam Pha Dynamics Mechanical Company officially merged.
On March 11, 2004, the Company was renamed Vietnam Coal Automobile Industry Company according to Decision No. 358/QD-TCCB dated March 11, 2004 of Vietnam Coal Corporation (now Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industry Group).
On January 8, 2006, the Company was renamed Automobile Industry Company - VINACOMIN according to Decision No. 2463/QD-TCCB dated January 8, 2006 of Vietnam Coal - Mineral Industry Group Decision No. 2227/QD-HĐQT dated September 19, 2007 of Vietnam Coal - Mineral Industry Group Nam, on approving the equitization plan of Automobile Industry Company - VINACOMIN.
On February 22, 2008, the company officially converted to a joint stock company according to Business Registration Certificate No. 2203001271 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Quang Ninh province with a charter capital of 27 billion VND. The company registered as a public company with the State Securities Commission in 2013.
Business activities
- Mechanical field: manufacturing and assembling transport cars, specialized cars, tourist cars; repair, conversion, warranty, maintenance of cars of all kinds, construction motorcycles, mining equipment, energy equipment, mineral equipment; manufacturing and repairing equipment. The Company's revenue from repair and overhaul of cars accounts for 65% of the market share in repair and overhaul of mine transport cars in the mechanical industry of TKV Group.
- Field of buying and selling goods: buying and selling spare parts for cars and mining machines used for production life. - Do-it-yourself basic construction: construction and installation of industrial, agricultural, transportation, irrigation, transmission lines and transformer stations.
