Established history:
- Machine Erection and Construction Joint Stock Company, formerly the Mechanized Construction Enterprise under Vietnam Construction Import-Export Corporation, was established under Decision No. 179/BXD-TCLD dated March 24, 1997 of the Minister of Construction on the basis of reorganization of member units. After two years of operation, to reflect the true scale of development, the Company was issued a Decision by the Minister of Construction to change the Company's name to Mechanics, Machine Installation and Construction Company according to Decision No. 849/QD-BXD dated July 29, 1999 and ranked Enterprise class. 1 according to Decision No. 967 dated July 14, 2000. In 2003. VIMECO Machinery Installation and Construction Company was equitized according to Decision No. 1485/QD-BXD dated November 7, 2002 of the Minister of Construction. From January 1, 2003, the Company switched to operating in the form of a Joint Stock Company and was granted Joint Stock Company Business Registration Certificate by the Department of Planning and Investment of Hanoi City No. 0103001615 on December 6, 2002.
- N On December 11, 2006, for the first time, shares of VIMECO Joint Stock Company were listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange with the Stock Code VMC.
- According to the joint stock company business registration certificate number: 0103001651 issued by Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment on May 23, 2008, the Mechanical, Machine Installation and Construction Joint Stock Company changed its name to Joint Stock Company VIMECO.
- As of December 31, 2014, the Company has a charter capital of 65 billion VND (equivalent to 6,500,000 shares listed on the Hanoi Stock Exchange).
- On January 12, 2015, the Company successfully issued an increase in charter capital to: 100 billion VND (equivalent to 10,000,000 shares).
