- October 10, 1952: Establishment of the National Printing House, marking the birth of the Vietnamese book publishing industry
- 1956 - 1960: The Book Publishing Agency separated from the National Printing House to establish the Central Book Publishing Department and branches of the Book Publishing Department in the provinces. city

- On March 24, 2016, Vietnam Book Company Limited successfully organized the initial public auction of shares at the Hanoi Stock Exchange, with the number of shares offered for auction being 16,735,590 shares, the actual number of shares sold (having been paid for shares by investors) was 16,530,590 shares, average successful auction price is 13,072 VND/share.
- On April 27, 2016, the Company successfully organized the General Meeting of Shareholders to establish Vietnam Book Joint Stock Company. The company officially operates under the model Joint Company under the Business Registration Certificate No. 0100109829 issued by the Business Registration Office - Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment for the first time on December 10, 2010 and registered for the second change on April 27, 2016, with a charter capital of 679,099,600,000 VND.
- On June 15, 2016, Vietnam Book Joint Stock Company has been accepted by the State Securities Commission as a public company.
- July 5, 2016, Vietnam Book Joint Stock Company was granted a Certificate of securities depository registration by the Vietnam Securities Depository Center.
