Introduction to VPBank:

Establishment History:
- Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Non-State-owned Enterprises (VPBANK) was established under Operation License No. 0042/NH-GP issued by the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam on August 12, 1993
- On July 27, 2010, VPBank changed its name to Vietnam Prosperity Joint Stock Commercial Bank
- On August 20, 2013, VPBank received a certificate of merit from the Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam recognizing outstanding achievements, contributing to completing the banking tasks in 2011 - 2012
- On August 17, 2017, 1.33 billion VPBank shares (code VPB) officially traded on HOSE
- On October 21, 2018, VPBank co-organized the Hanoi International Heritage Marathon with a run through Hanoi heritage sites
- On February 1, 2019, VPBank was the first and only Vietnamese private bank to be honored in the Top 500 Most Valuable Banking Brands globally
- In April 2019, VPBank officially applied Basel II standards
- In April 2021, VPBank signed an agreement to sell 49% of charter capital at FE Credit to Japan's SMBC Group
- On March 27, 2023, VPBank reached an agreement to sell 15% of charter capital to SMBC Bank of Japan
