Timeline of Establishment & Development:
- November 1992: Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group entered into a joint venture with South Korea's Daesung to establish Vinadaesung Cable Joint Venture Company. The first joint venture company in Vietnam's post and telecommunications industry, with the role of producing copper fiber information cables to serve the network digitalization process.
- March 2001: NEXANS Group - France bought and changed the name of Daesung to NEXANS Korea. Together with NEXANS Korea, Daesung Cable Joint Venture Company became a member of NEXANS Group - the world's leading cable and network system manufacturer. Certificate of ISO 9001:2000 quality certificate issued by the International Organization TUV CERT - TUV Nord (Federal Republic of Germany)
- June 2007: Cable and Network Materials Joint Stock Company (VINACAP) was established to prepare to take over the operations of Vinadaesung Cable Joint Venture Company, which was dissolved due to the expiration of the 15-year joint venture term, according to Business Registration Certificate No. 0103018208 issued by Hanoi Department of Planning and Investment on June 28, 2007 with a registered charter capital of 100 billion VND.
- On November 9, 2007, Network Cable and Materials Joint Stock Company (VINACAP) officially took over the assets and all activities of Vinadaesung Cable Joint Venture Company to go into operation.
- November 2010: The company changed its name from Cable and Network Materials Joint Stock Company to VINACAP Electronic Telecommunications Joint Stock Company. VINACAP orients production and business development in three directions: Production of telecommunications cables (optical fiber and copper fiber telecommunications cables); Civil electrical cables and electrical equipment; Developing terminal devices for telecommunications networks.
- Currently, the Company is operating under Business Registration Certificate No. 0102306413 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Hanoi City for the first time on June 28, 2007, changed for the 6th time on May 23, 2017 with a charter capital of 156,000,000,000 VND.
- Manufacturing copper cables;
- Production of fiber optic cables;
- Trading in materials and accessories for telecommunications infrastructure networks.
